Barquisimeto is an important city of Venezuela in the route from the capital Caracas to the Western border with Colombia. By car, it’s the last city served with comfortable highways before you meet the steep climbs and tight curves of the Andes mountains. By the air, SVBM airport receives numerous flights of mainly regional and national flights of Colombian and Venezuelian airlines for the most part. There are also a few international destinations though.
